my phone only tells me when a text is delivered if it is to another alltel customer?

if they’re not with alltel, my phone doesn’t tell me if the text was delivered or not. It has a red check mark beside the text if it was delivered and a blue arrow if it was sent. the red check mark ONLY comes up next to alltel customers.

It would be because Alltel only knows when a message is delivered within it’s own network. It can’t communicate with another provider to determine delivery status.
